National Day of Service 2021

The "National Day of Service" has three components: brief ceremony and instructions to volunteers; headstone cleaning or another public service; and posting on a Veteran's personal profile page found on VA's Veterans Legacy Memorial (VLM).

WHEN: Friday, September 10 at 10:00 a.m. (local time) except Quantico, Alexandria, Culpeper and Baltimore National Cemeteries which will start at 9:00 a.m.

WHERE: Participating National Cemeteries (see list below)

WHY: Recognize the 20th Commemoration of September 11 through public service at VA National Cemeteries

WHAT: Headstone cleaning

PARTNERS: Carry The Load, AmeriCorps, Partnership for Public Service, VA Voluntary Service, RallyPoint, Hunter Seven

POST: Write a tribute or post a photo on VA's Veterans Legacy Memorial (VLM)
