Veterans Legacy Grant Program: Application Information

Application Notice

Here's how you can tell whether we've already published an application notice in the Federal Register and whether the dates we list in this Forecast of Funding Opportunities are actual or estimates.

When we have published the Notice of Funds Available (NOFA) the official application notice will be listed in the Federal Register.*

(A link will be added to the NOFA when this is posted to the Federal Register.
Please continue to check back for this important information.)

Electronic Grant Applications

Applications may be submitted electronically to the Veterans Legacy Grant Program.

The requirements and instructions for submitting applications electronically will appear in the Federal Register in the application notice for the competition. We strongly recommend that you begin researching a Veteran's cemetery near you and formulating your project proposal. Review the Under Secretary Memorial Affairs' (UMSA) priorities and be ready when the application has been released.

Application Workshops

We are hosting application workshops to share how excited we are about the Veterans Legacy Grant Program (VLGP), the founding initiative and mission. We invite potential grantees and stakeholders to attend the application workshops in order to ask questions and get clarification on the grant program, before the NOFA is announced.

Application Workshop Dates:

  • January 28, 2022 (1 p.m. – 3 p.m. ET)
  • February 7, 2022 (1 p.m. – 3 p.m. ET)
  • February 15, 2022 (1 p.m. – 3 p.m. ET)

Contact Information

On this website and in the NOFA, we list the name of the Program Director and the members of the VLP team who will serve as your Grants Support after you have successfully applied. We list the name, email address, and telephone numbers of the person or persons to contact for obtaining an application (*) or further information about the programs listed. We also include this information in the actual application notice for that program.
