Saluting Branches 2025

Who & What

Saluting Branches* is a national day of service where tree care professionals volunteer their time and skills to care for trees and landscapes at national cemeteries, honoring our nation's Veterans by improving the appearance and safety of cemeteries, which are symbols of our nation's history and service.

Volunteers are encouraged to post photos or tributes on VA's Veterans Legacy Memorial (VLM).

When & Where

Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at all participating locations except for Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery - Missoula, which will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025.

Start times are between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. (local time). End times are between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. (local time). Some locations may have a different start time. Please refer to instructions from your Site Leader.

Volunteers are asked to sign up in advance with Saluting Branches. Donations are not required to participate.

Saluting Branches: Volunteers gather at a national cemetery to honor Veterans.Saluting Branches event organizers coordinate with cemetery staff and volunteer tree care professionals.
